Plymouth Color Logo2014Two requests to temporarily close streets within the City of Plymouth were approved during Monday’s Board of Public Works and Safety meeting.

St. Michael Church was granted permission to close the 6oo block of North Center Street between Monroe and the entrance to the county park lot to the south on Sunday, September 24th from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. for the annual parish picnic.

The second request approved was for the Cars and Coffee event this Saturday, September 2nd on West Jefferson Street.

John Montgomery was given permission to close Beerenbrook Street north and south of West Jefferson Street.

The Cars and Coffee event will be open from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. this Saturday.

Traffic on West Jefferson Street will be slowed to allow participants to cross in a specific area from the north and south sides of the street.  While the Marshall County Reserve officers are busy this weekend with the Blueberry Festival, it was suggested to contact another area police agency to assist with traffic and crossing the street.
