City NEwsRick Gaul, engineer for the City of Plymouth presented a change order for the 2016 Fall Street and Sidewalk projects during Monday’s Board of Public Works and Safety meeting.

Gaul said, “These projects were started last fall as part of the Community Crossings grant but got caught in the winter weather and had to be completed this spring.”

The bottom line is a deduction in the total project cost of $9,039.40.

The change order include an additional for the wedge and level on Pilgrim Lane, a deduction on Jim Neu and Hoham Drives because the sub-contractor didn’t follow the plans on the mill of the approach at Oak Drive, a deduct for number 2 stone and number 53 stone because the subgrade soils were in better condition than expected.

The original contract price was $674,922.  With the deduction change order being approved by the Board of Public Works and Safety the final cost of the contract is $665,822.60 or 1.3% of the contract.
