On Tuesday, August 29, Officer Les McFarland with the Marshall County Police Department observed Nancy “Mara” McFarland at the Pilot Truck Stop at US 30 and King Road. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle that McFarland was in because of the active warrants for her arrest. During the traffic stop a substance believed to be methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a handgun and a sawed-off shot gun was recovered.
25 year old Nancy “Mara” McFarland if Culver was arrested for two active arrest warrants through Marshall County, as well as Possession of Methamphetamine.
The driver of the vehicle, 40 year old Peter J. Rink of LaPaz was also arrested for Possession of a Handgun without a license and Possession of Methamphetamine.
A case report will be completed and forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor`s Office for formal charges.
