County News_logoSupervisor of County Highways, Jason Peters Highway is planning a number of projects this week.

Monday highway employees will begin paving 7th Road east of Jarrah weather permitting.

County employees will also be completing a couple of bridge debris removal projects.  On Monday they will be working on the Randolph Street Bridge beginning at 9 a.m.  On Tuesday, August 29th county workers will be removing debris from the South Michigan Bridge over the Yellow River starting at 9 a.m.  

Peters urges drives to avoid travel after 9am on both streets.  The roads will be closed at times during the cleanup process.

The Supervisor of County Highways said contractors will also be working on 7th Road west of King Road to Linden on the 30th to repair asphalt problems and re-paving on August 31sts weather permitting.

Weather permitting, fog sealing on South Michigan Road will begin on Wednesday or Thursday August 30 or 31.  The road will be closed for fog seal application for several hours.  Peters asks drivers to Please avoid South Michigan Road as much as possible.  County employees plan on starting the application process around 9 a.m.    The process does request drying time of about 2 to 2 1/2 hours depending on temperatures.   Please be patience for this application.
