CrashInvestigation_2A two vehicle crash on Plymouth LaPorte Trail Saturday morning sent 4 people to Saint Joseph Hospital in Plymouth.

Nils Lamberson of Plymouth was north bound on Rose Road in a 2004 F-150 about 9:20 a.m.  He told County Police Officer Jordan Rans that he had stopped at the sign on Rose Road, checked for traffic and pulled into the intersection.  That’s when he saw a car south bound on Plymouth LaPorte Trail.  He told the officer he was unable to avoid
the collision.

Ashley Berg of Walkerton told Officer Rans she was south bound on Plymouth LaPorte Trail in a 1997 Honda Civic approaching the intersection with Rose Road.   She said Lamberson did not stop at the intersection and pulled out into the path of her vehicle.   She attempted to avoid the collision by slamming on the brakes, but was unable to avoid the collision.

All 4 occupants of Berg’s vehicle were transported to the St. Joseph Health System in Plymouth to be treated.

County police were assisted at the scene by Plymouth Fire and EMS and Lyons Towing.
