Norwayne_3Allan Collins from Construction Management & Design in Plymouth told WTCA this week, “We have no plans at this time for the Norwayne Lumber property at 700 West Jefferson Street in Plymouth.”  The property was purchased by Beachview Properties LLC on June 20th of this year.

Collins said the property was becoming a blighted area and they wanted to clean it up and make some improvements to the buildings on the property.  Current plans are to put a new roof on the main building, replace the doors, re-skin the pole barn, pour a concrete floor in it and add overhead doors.

Collins said the will be using the pole barn as a warehouse for the construction company, storing equipment and materials inside.

While they have no specific plans at this time, CM&D has been approached by a couple developers who are interested in doing a project on the property.   Allan said, “All options are still on the table.  We are looking for the best use for the property and weighing our options.”

When asked about a residential development Collins said, “we just completed a development in Columbia City, are finishing up phase III of Tippy River Downs in Warsaw and are currently working on a development in Culver.”  He noted that CM&D has residential projects in 11 different towns.
