Conservation Club HouseConstruction on the new Boys and Girls Club on East Jefferson Street is in progress and the Club is currently operating in Jefferson Elementary School.

Monday evening Billie Treber, Executive Director appeared before the Plymouth Park Board requesting use of the Conservation Club House during the week of August 28th through September 1st.

Treber said they only recently learned of the agreement the Blueberry Festival has with the school to use the same rooms they are occupying.  While the school suggested shutting down the services for a week, Treber said they didn’t want to do that to the kids and families they serve.  She asked to use the Conservation Club House from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and on Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

It was noted that the Conservation Club House isn’t too far off the bus shuttle route and with the playground and park setting there on the property, “it would be the best solution.”

The Plymouth Park Board unanimously approved the request.
