Republican partyIf you have attended any of the summer festivals or parades, I’m sure you have enjoyed seeing the Marshall County Republican elephant float.  He’s been very busy this summer and in the near future will be making appearances in parades in Bourbon, Middlebury, Plymouth and Nappanee.  He doesn’t eat much, but he does require care.  For this reason he has been rented out to adjoining Republican organizations.

Republican Chairman Dave Holmes said, “The elephant is an important part of our fundraising activities, which are necessary even in off years when there are no elections.”

Holmes noted, that the party has headquarters to maintain, utilities to pay and insurance expenses.  That’s why they are hosting a fundraising golf outing and gun raffle.  He said, “These fundraisers are a very important part of our budget.”

The republican golf outing will be August 24th at the Pretty Lake Golf Club.  Registration is at 10:30 with lunch at 11 and a shotgun start at noon.  Cost for the golf outing is $75 per person or $300 per team.  Hole sponsorships are also available for $150 or a package deal of a team and sponsorship for $400.

Contact Debbie VanDeMark by email at debv@fourway.net to register.

The gun raffle will also take place on August 24th.  Tickets for the SQS 15 Riffle made in Bremen at BCI Defense are $5 each or 5tickets for $20. Tickets are available from many Marshall County Republicans.
