City HallThe City of Plymouth will meet tonight beginning at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall.

The Board of Public Works and Safety will open bids for the Richter Road water main extension project and for the City Hall renovation project.  They will also award the bid for a new ambulance chassis and open letters of interest for the Hoham Drive project.

Board of Works and Safety board members will hear reports from the various department heads and be updated on the County’s wetland mitigation project at the end of South Plum Street.

The Common Council meeting is scheduled for 6:30 and includes consideration for the ordinance amendment to increase the salaries for the Plymouth Police Department on second and third reading.  At the meeting last month Councilman Jeff Houin asked if the council should wait until the 2018 budget process and implement the raises next year since the department is not experiencing any type of emergency situation.

The city council will consider the voluntary annexation of property at 1715 Lake Avenue by Weir Enterprises LLC.

Also on the city council’s agenda is a resolution for an additional appropriation for the police department and pension fund and an additional from the Rainy Day Fund for the 2017 Community Crossings Grant match.

The meetings are open to the public although comments and questions are limited to agenda items only.
