Plymouth School Board to Announce New Superintendent Wednesday

school-board-meeting1The Plymouth School Board will meet on Wednesday, June 7 at 7:00 P.M. for a regularly scheduled monthly meeting.

The Board is expected to consider the appointments of a new superintendent and principal for Washington Discovery Academy. The current Superintendent, Daniel Tyree, will be retiring as of June 30, 2017.

After two years at Washington Discovery Academy, former principal, Jeff Spencer, tendered his resignation to accept another position. The Board posted both positions and has been reviewing applications they have received.

Other agenda items include a presentation on the PHS handbook addition, textbook fees for grades K-12, and hear revised policies on 1st reading.

The Board is expected to establish bonds for the Business Manager, Deputy Treasurer, and NIESC Administrative Assistant.

Additional considerations listed on the agenda include, but are not limited to: Trust Fund HRA Administration Renewal, second addendum to the contract with the Plymouth Park Department, Northern Indiana Educational Services Center Fiscal Service Agreement, Blueberry Festival Agreement, and Uncaught Advisory Services Agreement.
