NewsThe Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety approved a lease agreement with Emanuel Reese of Reese’s Family Ribs during their meeting Monday evening.

After seeking proposals for the lease of parking spaces in May, the only one received was from Reese.

The month to month lease will be for $10 a month, payable twice a year in November and June.  Mr. Reese has also agreed to pay the tax assessment that will be due on the property since it will now be considered rental and therefore taxable.   The first payment will be made next month in the amount of $18.29 to cover the cost of advertising for the newspaper.

In other business the Board of Works and Safety opened bids for an ambulance chassis.  Two bids were received from Donnelly Safety from Indianapolis for $189,700 and Crossroads Ambulance Sales and Service from Middlebury for $186,806.

Fire Chief Rod Miller told the board the chassis will be mounted on a Ford F450.

Bids were taken under advisement for review with a recommendation anticipated at the first meeting in July.
