Bourbon Food Truck FridayThe Bourbon Community Initiative was created by Jordan Fuller, Nick Treber, Heather Barron, and Ted Westafer to generate things for people to do and showcase what the Bourbon Community is all about.

Fuller said, “We wanted to create something that has not been done in Bourbon and something that is different over all that would not only get the people of Bourbon out but also bring families from surrounding towns to downtown Bourbon for an evening.”  The group came up with Food Truck Friday and this Friday evening will be the first event.

Food Truck Friday will begin at 6 p.m. at the downtown Sit Park.

The evening will include food, music, classic cars, vendors and crafters and an opportunity to socialize with friends and neighbors.

Pizza Diva will be selling their wood fire cooked pizzas.  This food truck business is operated by Brandon Hepler who lives in Bourbon and graduated from Triton.

Sentimental Journey’s Band is donating their time to perform Friday evening so there will be live music and multiple band members are from Bourbon.  They are a 40’s Big Band Music band.  They have over 20 members and the band originated in 1992 at Triton High School with our director and 5 members

Anyone with a classic car is invited to come to the cruise-in and show off their pride and joy!   The local Bank, IAB is allowing use of their downtown parking to host the cruise-in event.  There’s no cost and no judging just showing off your vehicles.

A few local vendors and crafters are also expected to be in attendance.

For the kids, Ted Westafer from Heartland Church will have the bounce house there and Jason Lemler from Lemler Oil will bring in a tanker truck, and the Bourbon Fire Department will bring a truck to the event too.

Top off the evening with an ice cream treat from Mooney’s Ice Cream.

Bourbon Food Truck Friday is going to be once a month June through September.
