A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Wednesday morning, June 21st followed by a brief celebration for the Grand Opening of Small Wonders Childcare Center located at Plymouth Baptist Church 11345 9A Road in Plymouth.
The various Small Wonders Programs are owned and operated by Debra Friar. Small Wonders has been in business since April of 2000 and has grown from an in home setting to 3 licensed home childcare providers and the new childcare center. The licensed homes provide full day care with all inclusive preschool skills for children preschool age and younger and are divided into developmentally appropriate age groups.
The licensed center provides full day care with all inclusive preschool skills for children ages 3 to 5 years old. Small Wonders Programs would also qualify for the On My Way Pre-K grants which have just been recently awarded to Marshall County.
Along with the licensed homes and childcare center; Small Wonders also offers a before and after school program for school age children that automatically covers school delays and closings. This school age program also offers camps during summer breaks, fall breaks, winter breaks and spring breaks.
