On Monday, June 5, shortly after 2:00 a.m., a theft from the Plymouth Walmart was reported to city police. The suspect’s vehicle was located by officers and a pursuit ensued that went into South Bend.

The passenger, 40 year old Sulton B. H. Williamswas arrested, however the driver escaped on foot.

Detective Leo Mangus with the Plymouth Police Department began an investigation and found that the driver was 46 year old Chad A. Minnick.    An Arrest Warrant was issued for Chad Minnick on June 9 regarding felony offenses of Theft and Resisting Law Enforcement.

On Tuesday, June 13, Detective Mangus received information that Chad Minnick was in Niles, MI.   Extradition was approved by the Prosecutor and this information was forwarded to the Michigan State Police. Chad A. Minnick was arrested by the Michigan State Police on the morning of Thursday, June 15. He is currently in the Berrien County Jail awaiting extradition to Marshall County.
