Bourbon GazeboThe Bourbon Town Council officially accepted a donation of a 130 -year-old gazebo from Barbara Claybaugh during their meeting on Tuesday. Claybaugh has had the gazebo on her property in Bourbon for many years. According to council member P.J. Hanley, the gazebo was originally a part of the Matchette family. Plans are to sandblast, repair and repaint the structure and mount it on a slab at the Matchette Center.

Council members had differing opinions on exactly where to locate the gazebo to make it accessible for community patrons; however, they agreed to meet at the site before making a decision.

Claybaugh said, ā€œIā€™m pleased to be able to donate it to the town. Hopefully, it will last another 130 years.ā€

It was noted that a grant that helped to build the center stipulated that it had to be called a senior center for a period of at least five years.
