AT&T Brings Faster Network to Rochester and other Fulton County Customers

May 10, 2017

Fulton CountyAT&T has upgraded a cell tower on its 4G LTE network in Rochester to give customers faster, more reliable wireless service. The cell tower is located on the north side of the city, and was also enhanced with a large amount of additional capacity.

In 2016, AT&T also upgraded 3 additional cell towers in Fulton County including in Kewanna, Richland Center, and Rochester on the south side of the city by adding greater capacity.

AT&T’s investment will help customers get the most out of their mobile devices. With 4G LTE service, customers will experience better network connectivity while streaming videos, sharing on social media or texting family and friends. Capacity upgrades are like adding more lanes to a highway carrying traffic from a customer’s device to the cell tower resulting in faster speeds and more reliable service.

“We want our customers to have a great experience. They’ll be able to download, upload, stream and play games faster than ever before on our 4G LTE network— which is the nation’s best data network **,” said Bill Soards, president of AT&T Indiana. “We’re always working to provide better coverage. And we’re investing in our wireless network to accomplish that.”

We know how important it is for our customers to stay connected. This helps Indiana residents get the best possible experience over the AT&T network wherever they live, work and play.

By building out our 4G LTE network, we are laying the foundation for our 5G Evolution, the next advance in network technologies. We are increasing network speeds and capacity, as we continue to expand the availability and capacity of our network using the latest technology.
