Freedom Park_1Plymouth’s park superintendent Mike Hite told the Park Board of his plans to improve the lightening at Freedom Park in Packard’s Woods.

Hite plans to repurpose the light poles from the tennis court project and place five of them near the playground and parking area on 8th Street.  He noted that the lights will be changed over to LED fixtures when they are installed.

Freedom Park_2Three companies submitted sealed bids on the lighting project: Banner Electric at $15,490; Huffman Electric $13,840; and Michiana Contracting for $21,600.  As a way to keep the project moving forward the Park Board approved allowing Superintendent Hite to select the best lowest bid after review.
