In 2015 the Marshall County Commissioners implemented an ordinance requiring horse-drawn vehicles to be licensed starting in 2016.
In accordance with the ordinance, the collection of license fees for 2017, will begin on March 1st and continue until May 31st. License Fees are $50.00 per horse-drawn vehicle together with a $3.00 processing fee. For plates purchased last year, a 2017 self-adhesive label tag will be issued.
Lake City Bank in Argos, Plymouth and Bremen will have plates and tags available for purchase beginning Wednesday, March 1st.
Last year $45,275 was raised with the ordinance with those funds being directed into the County Highway budget.
