MugShot_Martell EarleyOfficer John Weir with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on US 30 at Oak Road Saturday morning about 10:15 for a vehicle traveling 88 MPH in a 50 MPH speed zone.

After speaking to the driver, 22 year old Martell Earley of Chicago Officer Weir walked his K9 partner Jax around the vehicle.  Jax indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle and during a search officers from the Plymouth Police Department and Indiana State Police located marijuana.

While Earley has a chemical test it was found he was also driving on a suspended license.

Mr. Earley was booked into the Marshall County Jail for Possession of Marijuana, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicate Endangering a Person and Operating a Vehicle on a Scheduled Controlled Substance.  His cash bond was set at $4,500.
