Wednesday night the 2016 Marshall County Firefighter of the year award was presented to three Plymouth volunteer firefighters.
Mike Jimenez, Art Jacobs an Ed Marquardt were each presented with awards by John Grolich president of the County Firefighters Association.
These three firefighters performed a rescue on one of our own firefighters that fell through a floor and into a basement in a structure fire on July 31st 2016.
Mike Jimenez was the firefighter that called a mayday when his partner went through the floor and Art Jacobs and Ed Marquardt were the firefighters there to start with the rescue process.
Fortunately the firefighter rescued was not injured in the incident.
