U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) Tuesday released the following statement on President Trump’s nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court:
“I applaud President Trump for fulfilling his promise to choose a Supreme Court nominee who will carry on Justice Scalia’s legacy of defending the Constitution and upholding the rule of law. Judge Gorsuch’s record on the bench makes clear his first-rate legal mind, his unwavering commitment to constitutional principles, and his respect for the sanctity of life. I hope the Senate swiftly confirms this exceptionally well-qualified nominee.”
Walorski represents the 2nd Congressional District of Indiana, serving as a member of the House Ways and Means Committee.
U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly released the following statement regarding President Trump’s nomination of Neil Gorsuch for the vacancy on the Supreme Court.
Donnelly said, “As I have said part of our job as Senators includes considering, debating, and voting on judicial nominations, including to the Supreme Court. I will carefully review and consider the record and qualifications of Neil Gorsuch.”
