local News_2It was a quick meeting for the Plymouth Common Council this week.

Being the first meeting of the new year meeting dates and times were set, the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 except in December when the fourth meeting will be moved to the 27th.

The Council elected Councilman Don Ecker a Mayor Pro-Tempore and also to be their representative on the Plymouth Plan Commission.  Ecker replaces Mike Delp who resigned from the council in December to take his place as the newly elected County Commissioner.

The City Council welcomed new member Bill Walters who was appointed during a caucus in November to fill the seat vacated when Delp resigned.

City attorney Sean Surrisi presented a Uniform Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement from Walters.  He is a driver part-time for the Marshall County Council on Aging and the city provides some funding to the agency for their transportation services.  It was unanimously accepted by the City Council.
