Sunday afternoon Plymouth Police Officer Steve DeLee was dispatched to the Speedway Gas Station at 2225 North Michigan Street for a counterfeit bill.
It was just after 2 in the afternoon when an unknown male subject tried to pay for his purchase with a counterfeit $50 bill.
The Speedway employee notified the customer of the counterfeit money and he then paid for his purchase with other money and left prior to city police arriving on the scene.
