mugshot_emily-millerOn Wednesday, December 28, just after 9:00 p.m. an officer with the Marshall County Police Department located a vehicle southbound on Michigan Street near Centennial Park with no headlights on.

The vehicle was stopped and it was determined that the driver, 18 year old Emily Miller of Plymouth was impaired.  She was taken for a certified chemical test and later lodged into the Marshall County Jail for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated on a Controlled Substance.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
