Plymouth Color Logo2014Tuesday evening the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety ratified the 2017 fuel supply bid with North Central Coop.  Street Department Superintendent Jim Marquardt said he locked in the price on December 19th.  Next year the city will be paying $2.18 per gallon for 2000 gallons of gasoline and $2.22 for 2,500 gallons of diesel fuel. The prices include the taxes and fees the city must pay.

Marquardt recommended accepting the bids from Stockberger Trucking and IMI for street materials next year.  Marquardt said both companies offer some of the same material but also different material.

The Board of Works also accepted the proposal from Langfeldt Excavating to excavate the church foundation under the city parking lot on the south side of the Police Department.  A couple of month ago voids under the pavement cause a drop in portions of the parking lot.  Langfeldt will make the necessary repairs to the lot at a cost of $32,720.   The project is scheduled to be completed by April 1, 2017.
