Plymouth Color Logo2014The City of Plymouth will conduct their final meetings of 2016 on Tuesday evening beginning at 6 with the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting. The meetings are held in the Council Chambers of City Hall.

Agenda for the Board of Works meeting includes ratification of the 2017 fuel bids and awarding the bids for street materials and the proposal for the police department parking lot issue.

Board of Works members will hear from various city department heads and the City Engineer, Rick Gaul will discuss the Oakhill and South Michigan Street traffic signal engineering contract with Donohue & Associates.  Also on their agenda is the city attorney report, clerk’s report, requests and approval of claims.

The Plymouth Common Council will consider on 2nd and 3rd reading the Uniform Internal Control Standards, accept the resignation of Mike Delp at an At-Large member of the Council so that he may take the newly elected position as a County Commissioner.  Also on the agenda are the council appointments to the Redevelopment Commission and to the Marshall County Economic Development Commission.  Mayor Mark Senter will make a number of appointments too.

City Attorney Sean Surrisi discus the US 30 Coalition Project and requested donation.  He will present a resolution for a transfer of appropriations in the General Fund and the agreement with the Council on Aging for transportation services.

Also on the agenda is the ordinance setting the fee scale for the Park Department for 2017.

The public is welcome to attend both meetings although comments and questions are limited to agenda items only.
