Faulkner Fabricating logoFaulkner Fabricating from Bourbon received a second tax abatement in just over a year during Monday’s County Council meeting.

Last month Jerry Faulkner said told the Council his business has grown faster than anticipated.  He plans to build a 24,000 square foot addition estimated to cost $960,000.  Additional equipment purchases are estimated at $216,000.   The project will also create 5 additional full time jobs.

During the public hearing, Jerry Chavez, Executive Director of the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation asked the council to consider a ten year phase in tax abatement for real estate and personal property.

The Marshall County Council unanimously certified the property to be in an economic revitalization area, the second and final step in the tax abatement process.
