Prior to the program Alex questioned several students about the importance of celebrating Veterans Day and asking each student to give a shout out to a special veteran in their lives.

Teacher John Fishburn addressed the students and guests using the theme: “With great privilege comes great responsibility”. Audience members were challenged to fulfill their responsibilities as American citizens based on the rights “endowed by their Creator” which have, in turn, been preserved and protected by the many veterans who chose to serve their country.

The program closed with a video of Lee Greenwood’s song “God Bless the USA” during which students stood up and sang along.
