A Shelbyville, IN man was arrested just after midnight Thursday (11/3/16) morning by county police for Operating While Intoxicated.

About 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning an officer with the Marshall County Police Department stopped a vehicle on U.S. 31 near 9A Road for an equipment violation.  During the course of the investigation it was determined that the driver, 33 year old Austin Franklin of Shelbyville was impaired.

Franklin submitted to a drug evaluation with the assistance of Troopers with the Indiana State Police and was later lodged into the Marshall County Jail for OWI Endangering a Person with a Prior Charge and OWI Controlled Substance. His cash bond was set at $1,500.
