Marshall County Commissioner Kurt Garner presented change order # 1 on the construction project at the Community Resource Center that will relocate the Health Department.
The change order is a deduct of $6,515 to use a less expensive stock carpet and laminate instead of solid surface counter-tops.
Garner said, “Construction is moving along and the contractor is thinking by December 1st they may be finished.” He said negotiations continue with the hospital on a cost sharing for a generator at the CRC and bringing fiber-optic into the building.
Earlier this year the Marshall County Commissioners determined the best answer to a space issue in the County Prosecutor’s Office was to relocate the Health Department and allow the prosecutor’s office to expand into their space on the first floor of the County Building.
