Monday evening the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety ratified the bid award of Phend & Brown of Milford for the city’s fall street and sidewalk projects.
Low bid for the projects was $674,922 and the streets included in the project are: Hoham Drive, Jim Nue Drive, Walter Glaub Drive, Pilgrim Lane, the west end of Washington Street, a portion of Alexander Street and Ewing Street from Bayless to Angle.
The Board of Works also approved change order # 1 from Thomas Excavating for the re-route of the sanitary sewer under the Boys and Girls Club.
Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson was hoping to save a bit of money by using an existing manhole but then the company got into it the found it was deteriorating. The change order will add $540 to the project but Davidson said he anticipates additional savings on the project.
Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt old board of works members that the street light requested at the intersection of Baker and Dora Street has been installed.
