HonorRewards_logoLast week the Marshall County Commissioners approved participation in a program that will offer local veterans the opportunity to participate in a “Honor Rewards” program.

Marshall County Recorder, Marlene Mahler and Veteran’s Services Officer Pan Schweizer Betz explained the benefits program offered through the Recorder’s software company Fiddler. Veterans will sign up and receive an identification card they can show to receive perks from local businesses.

19 counties in Indiana are already participating in the Honor Rewards program. Sign-up will be completed in the Recorder’s Office or the Veteran’s Service Office, or online once it is in place.

A contract must be approved between the County and Fiddler before the “Honor Rewards” program will be offered.  The Recorder said she plans to use the local media to get the work out once the program is in place.
