promise Indiana bannerAll Marshall County schools are participating in the Promise Indiana program this year.  The local program is called the Marshall County Promise and they have received donations from the Lilly Foundation, Marshall County Community Foundation, and 1st Source Bank to encourage thinking beyond high school and for parents to start a 529 account.

The donations from these groups have made it possible for MC Promise to donate $25 to every kindergarten and first grade student in the county who opens a 529 savings account for their future educational needs after high school.

This year students in first and second grades in all the county elementary school will visit Ancilla College in September to learn what a “college” is and why getting an education is important.

They’re reminding everyone that you, too, are welcome to be a part of this program.  Donations can be made to the Marshall County Promise fund at the Marshall County Community Foundation.
