HarrisonStreet_railroadCrossing_1During the second Board of Public Works and Safety meeting in July, City Attorney Sean Surrisi told members he hadn’t had any recent contact with Pioneer Railroad, the owner of the tracks that cross Harrison and Jefferson Streets.

HarrisonStreet_railroadCrossing_2During this week’s city meeting Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt said the railroad had started to work on Harrison Street crossing Monday replacing the timbers.  To complete the job in a faster manner the city put the asphalt back in place on Tuesday.  The street should be open to traffic Wednesday morning.

RR_Harrison_1Work on the Jefferson Street crossing has been scheduled after the Blueberry Festival by the railroad.
