Sue Irwin from the Marshall County Museum will offer her “Fact, Folktales and Facades” walking tours of historic downtown Plymouth next month.

The tour, lead by Sue Irwin will feature one block each week on North Michigan Street. Participants will learn about the interesting architectural history of downtown buildings, reminisce about businesses and merchants that have occupied the buildings through the years and of tales that may or may not be true.

Because of so many requests this year’s walking tours will be on Friday evenings at 6 p.m. beginning July 8th. Downtown Plymouth will be divided into four sections running through North Michigan Street and Garro Street. The first tour on July 8th will feature the southwest block which includes the Museum, Wild Rose Moon, Dr. Plumlee’s office, Edward Jones, ASK for Flowers and Heartland Artists. July 15th will be the southeast block. On July 22nd the Facts, Folktales and Facades tour will feature the northeast block and the final walking tour on July 29th will be the northwest block.

All tours will start at 6 p.M. from the Marshall County Museum at 123 North Michigan Street.  For more information on the walking tours, please contact the Museum at 574-936-2306.
