Plymouth Color Logo2014The Plymouth Plan Commission approved two separate requests to create individual lots from larger parcels of property in the city’s two mile zone.

Pete and Barb Rockaway were granted approval to create a 5 acre lot at 11289 Nutmeg Road from a 31.6 acre parcel.

Todd and Rhonda Thompson were approved to create two lots, one of 7 acres and the other 6.5 acres from a 127 acre lot on the east side of Pioneer Drive, south of Lincoln Highway. A single family home is planned for one of the lots while the other will remain agricultural for now.

In other business the Plan Commission was updated on the clean up process at 404 Alexander Street. The city’s code enforcement officer has been at the property and determined the improvements have meet the city requirements.

Dan Lowry’s used car lot on West Jefferson Street across from the Moose was also on the agenda for an update. The business has one more month at the current location and then must either closed or relocated.

Building Commissioner Keith Hammonds brought forth the Historic Overlay Districts and suggested whittling down the size of the district, bringing them more in line with what actually exists in the neighborhoods. He was asked to bring in a map showing where he believes changes to the overlay district should be made to the next Plymouth Plan Commission meeting on July 5th.
