PHS_AdvancedSpeech_1More than two dozen Plymouth High School Advanced Acting students traveled to Riverside Intermediate School on Friday to present a drama skit in an all school-wide assembly in the school’s gym at 9am this morning.

Skits focused on the serious subject of standing up to online bullying. Advanced Acting student Devin Gritton, a junior at PHS said overall it was a good experience to be able to use her acting skills to incorporate a subject like cyber bullying.

She said several of the skits her advanced Acting class performed incorporated how social media makes it easier to bully others and how it’s not right!

PHS_AdvancedSpeech_2According to www.dosomething.org 70% of students report seeing frequent bullying online and nearly 43% of kids have been bullied online and 1 in 4 have had it happen more than once.
