Plymouth Municipal Airport Manager, Dave Lattimer reported to the Aviation Board at Tuesday night’s meeting that the governing body of the Civil Air Patrol has deactivated the Plymouth wing. The action was taken because of low attendance within the group.

Several projects at the airport are stalled waiting for Federal Aviation Administration approval.  These include completion of the Runway Reconstruction, the proposed Solar Energy project and the AWOS project.  None of these projects can continue without approval of either the airport layout plan or the funding paperwork.

A helicopter company is still talking to the Plymouth Airport about moving their operations to town.  That move, which would require building a new hanger is still waiting for contracts to be approved between the unnamed company and a Fort Wayne Hospital.
