Local NewsMandy Metsker appeared before the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety to protest the recent placement of No Parking signs on Harrison Street immediately west of Michigan Street.

Metsker told the board the No Parking sign has created a parking issue for her household and she asked for the signs removed.

There was quite a bit of discussion between members of the Board of Works, Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt and Plymouth Police Chief Bacon about traffic safety in the area.

Ultimately the board decided to vacate the ticket Ms. Metsker got by parking in the No Parking zone.  The board also agreed to move the No Parking sign closer to Michigan Street so Ms. Metsker will have the ability to park one vehicle on Harrison Street.
