A powered parachute pilot is injured Saturday evening at 16166 18 B Road near Culver.
Michael Wood of South Bend was piloting a 2002 Buckeye Dream machine when he struck the top of trees becoming stuck in the tree tops.
It’s unknown how the seat belt became unbuckled, but as a result, he fell approximately 60 feet to the ground. He was conscious and flown to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with unknown injuries.
