Love's travel_1Tuesday morning Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter cut the ribbon officially opening the Love’s Travel Stop on US 30 at Pioneer Drive.

Love’s offers 24 hour service in a 10,000 square-foot facility that includes a Hardee’s Restaurant, Truck Tire Care Center and Convenience store with 62 employees.

The new travel stop opened on March 10th offering a new place to purchase fuel, snacks, a meal at Hardee’s and more.  Customers will find gourmet coffee, fresh fruits, electronics, general merchandise and supplies for professional truck drivers.

Love’s has been in business since 1964 and has 370 locations in 40 states with anticipation of opening 50 additional travel centers this year.

When Love’s comes to a new community, part of their ribbon cutting celebration includes a donation to a local organization.  Blessings in a Backpack received $2,000 from Love’s to feed school aged children on the weekends.

The Love’s Travel Stop in Plymouth offers 24 hour, 7 day service including their tire shop that carries 8 major brand named tires, oil changes, brake service and more for 18 wheelers.

A new service being offered is “Tire Pass” where one lane of the diesel island will offer safety checks while filling up.  Staff will check tire pressure, make sure all lights are working properly  and make sure 18 wheelers are safe for the road.

Local developer, Dave Miller from Van Vactor Development said, “Love’s is a great addition to our commercial and industrial park at the intersection, and will suit the needs of the highway travelers. It is a quality development, with landscaping and site lines that will complement the area.”
