INDOT has set a date to remove the bridge that now sends northbound traffic on Michigan Road over the Old US 31. The actualclosure date for Michigan Road will be Friday March 18th with bridge demolition to start on March 21st, 2016.
INDOT will be meeting with the contractor and subcontractors today to start this process. Demolition and redoing the roadway is expect to take the balance of the school year.
The official detour will be US 6 to US 31 to US 30.
Michigan Road will remain closed until it is reconstruction is complet
