Blazin BBQ_1Earlier this month the Plymouth Park Board gave Cori Humes, Executive Director of the Marshall County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau approval to hold the 4th Annual Blazin BBQ & Bluegrass event in Centennial Park on September 23rd and 24th.

Last year the Park Board also approved a Beer Tasting event on Saturday evening in the Horse Barn.  There were just over 100 tickets sold to the taste and were absolutely no problems.  The park board was impressed with the way the whole event was planned and how well the Beer Tasting was received that they approved the BBQ and Beer Tasting again for 2016.

Another request approved was for the 2016 Relay for Life to be held in River Park Square on June 18th this year.  It will be a totally new event with a new start time and location.

The Plymouth Park Board also acted on the request of the Boy Scouts to park vehicles at Prices Pond during the Blueberry Festival.  The scout troop has been using the facility for a number of years and Bob Price had mentioned the agreement during the donation of the park to Park Superintendent Mike Hite.  The board unanimously approved the request.
