About 9:30 Thursday evening, January 28th, Marshall County Police Officers and Bourbon Fire and EMS were dispatched to US 30 and Gumwood Road in reference to a single vehicle accident.
Officer Wozniak located a semi-truck and trailer headed eastbound on US 30 that had lost control due to the icy conditions and drove off the south side of US 30 and out into a corn field.
The driver, 72 year old Tony Miller of Middlebury was not injured, but the vehicle jackknifed and suffered heavy damage to the front end of the truck and front end of the trailer.
Reichert and Knepp Wrecker Service was requested to assist in removing the trailer from the field and towed it from the scene.
