Marshall County Hot Air Affair, the hot air balloon event during the Marshall County Blueberry Festival is a not-for-profit organization.
Recently board members Jim Kunze and Bill Walters presented a financial donation to Billie Treber, Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Marshall County.
Treber said Boys and Girls Clubs across America are losing teenagers. Locally the club has created a plan called Oh Shift for Teens to reach out to teens in the community and get them involved. The new program offers opportunities to get out of the building on East Jefferson Street taking field trips, volunteering and job shadowing. Treber said the donation from Marshall County Hot Air Affair will help with the teen programming.
