Jesse_BohannonOn the first day of the filing period, Secretary of State Connie Lawson certified the application of Bremen’s Jesse Bohannon as the first candidate to appear on the Republican primary election ballot to replace retiring Rep. Tim Harman in House District 17 (Marshall and Fulton Counties).

“I’m excited to finally make it official,” said Bohannon. “Our team has been working hard week by week since June to prepare for the next few months. I have met with thousands of voters in every town and township of Marshall and Fulton Counties. Not only have I been warmly received, but I have heard what people have to say.  Tim Harman really set a high standard and people deserve a representative who is not only a strong, consistent
conservative, but one who is always available and responsive to their needs as well. That is my commitment.”

In the upcoming months, Bohannon will continue connecting one-on-one with district residents. “I will keep knocking on doors and we are planning many neighborhood coffee meetings as well. Because being available to constituents is so important, I publish my personal cell phone and email address on all my campaign materials. I hope every citizen feels comfortable contacting with questions before the election and with any needs they may have as I serve as their representative,” said Bohannon.

Bohannon, 36, a Bremen High School and Bethel College graduate, has made Marshall County his home since 1994. He is a former administrator with The Crossing alternative schools – which operates faith-based high schools throughout northern Indiana – and is currently the General Manager of Bourbon Street Pizza in Plymouth.
