The Plymouth School Board will begin their monthly meeting schedule for 2016 on January 5. Meetings are open to the public; however, comments from the audience are limited to agenda items only.
During the meeting, they will hold elections for Board president, vice-president and secretary. Additionally, they will appoint a corporation treasurer and deputy treasurer, appoint legislative liaison, establish individual bonds for treasurers, appoint members to Strategic Plan Committee, and establish legal counsel. The Board will present conflict of interest disclosure statements.
Consideration will be extended for classified staff conditions, administrative contract extensions, administrative conditions and benefits, and Met Life 403b Plan Document.
Among other items, the Board will consider the appointment of an interim assistant principal at Riverside Intermediate. The resignation of former assistant principal, Jeff Brooke, was effective on December 18, 2015. Also listed in the agenda is the resignation of Sandra Dodson, director of administration, effective January 6.
The following retirements that would be effective on June 30, 2016 include: Melissa Shanks, Jefferson/WDA teacher; Robert Pickell, Menominee/Webster music teacher; Brenda Vervynckt, Webster interventionist teacher; Karen Green, Jefferson teacher; Teri Bair, Menominee teacher; Sara Spastic, Jefferson teacher; Suzie Clevenger, Alternative School teacher; and Shelley Shafer, Riverside teacher.
The regular meeting will begin at 7:00 P.M. and be followed by the Board of Finance meeting at approximately 7:45 P.M.
