The Heartland Artists Gallery in downtown Plymouth is displaying ‘Winter Wonderland’ art from their Member Artists in the month of December. The assignment was to capture Winter at it’s best and the members did just that.
They captured it in photography, oils, pastels, acrylic, gourd sculptures and so much more. And the theme is presented in so many ways: on the Gallery walls, sculptures and pottery on the shelves, jewelry, notecards and more. The Gallery also has the Christmas Gift Shoppe open with artistic finds of decor or gifts. The Gallery is open for shopping and/or just taking a moment and enjoying the ‘Art Experience’ at your Gallery!
The Gallery would like to ‘Thank the community’ for their interest and support with our Annual Christmas Tree Raffle this year. The Gallery is a not-for-profit group and this project is our fund raiser for the year.
The Raffle included a 6’ lit pencil-shaped Christmas tree that was displayed at the Gallery and an 18” white Christmas wreath which traveled during November at the Coffee Lodge, Plymouth Public Library, Marshall County Historical Museum & Crossroads Center and City Centre. Both tree and wreath were decorated with artistic ornaments made by the artists within a color scheme and ‘Winter Wonderland’ theme.
The Heartland School of Art is an extension of the Gallery’s mission and offered thirty Children’s classes and fifteen Adult classes this past year. We are taking a respite in December but stay tuned, we will be listing our art classes soon for the year 2016. The Art Store within the Gallery continues to offer art supplies for all the talented artists and budding artists in the area.
The Heartland Artists Gallery is located at 101 N. Michigan Street in downtown Plymouth. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday and Monday Dec.14th and 21st from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. 574.936.9515 www.heartlandartgallery.com
