Much more than a live nativity scene, this hour-long outdoor walk over farmland helps participants better understand and experience Mary and Joseph’s journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem. Witness an angel speaking to the shepherds, proclaiming the birth of a Savior. Encounter gruff Roman soldiers on your way to be counted in the first census, ordered by Caesar Augustus. Knock on the door to the Bethlehem Inn, where you will be told there is no room, not even for a pregnant Mary. Walk through the Bethlehem village, alive with shopkeepers buzzing with the good news of Christ’s birth. Experience a feeling of true peace and wonder as you approach the stable, where Joseph and Mary cradle the newborn King.
