Zardos is a dual purpose, narcotics and tracking K9 and was purchased from Vohne Liche Kennels. Zardos is assigned the 2nd shift with Starke County Detective Sgt. Adam Gray and will provide the county and other agencies with round-the-clock K9 coverage.
Sheriff Dulin said, “I believe this will have a significant impact on Starke County’s drug problem and have received overwhelming feedback from our community supporting the K9 program.”
Sheriff Dulin said the K9 program will continue to accept donations and will also continue to conduct fundraisers as this will pay for veterinarian bills and continuing training for both handlers and K9s.
